Elizabeth MacDonald

Elizabeth has over 30 years experience as an occupational therapist. 

Elizabeth is passionate about enabling people to achieve satisfaction in all aspects of their everyday lives, She is highly experienced in working with people of all ages with complex needs with many years experience working with children, young people and their families..

Areas of expertise include sensory profiles: tailored self-regulation programmes using Zones of Regulation; seating and positioning to reduce pressure injury, pain and stiffness and improve everyday life for elderly people;  advice on 24hr postural management.

Elizabeth also has a special interest in enabling frail elderly people and people in the later stages of Dementia to get the most out of life.

Highly experienced in assessment of specialist seating and positioning, Elizabeth is passionate about preventing people who are bed-bound such as people in the late stage of Dementia from being confined to living the rest of their life in bed.

Fiona Cowan                  Specialist Occupational Therapist

Fiona has worked as an occupational therapist within the NHS for over 20 years. She has developed specialist knowledge and skills in providing services for adults and older people. In 2005 she was awarded an MSC in Gerontology which is the study of old age, the process of aging, and the particular problems which older people can face.

Fiona's list of specialist expertise includes adults whose lives are affected by the ageing process, poor memory, dementia, arthritis, frailty, falls, joint replacement, bone fractures, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Huntington's.
